Guidelines for Parents

At *Indian Matric Higher Secondary School (IMS)*, we uphold a set of guidelines to ensure a respectful, disciplined, and orderly environment conducive to learning. Students are expected to familiarize themselves with these rules and adhere to them consistently. The following guidelines are designed to promote the well-being and academic success of all students:

General Conduct and Communication

Classroom Etiquette

  • Parents are strictly requested not to enter the classroom during morning and evening times. They may accompany their children up to the entrance of the school.

Home Environment and Study Support

  • Parents are encouraged to provide a calm and conducive environment at home for their children to prepare their lessons effectively.
  • Regularly review your child's homework, ensure it is completed, and sign the diary daily to confirm your involvement.

Monitoring Progress

  • Take an active interest in your child's progress by ensuring their regularity, punctuality, and discipline.
  • Examine progress reports carefully and pay special attention to subjects where your child has secured lower marks or has failed, encouraging them to put in extra effort to improve.

Contact Information

  • Inform the school immediately of any changes in residential address or contact numbers to ensure effective communication.

Restrictions and Discipline

Prohibited Items

  • Do not allow your children to bring money, personal expenses, cell phones, or other valuables to school.

Support for School Policies

  • Cooperate with the school management in maintaining punctuality, regularity, and discipline among pupils.

Communication and Participation

Complaints and Concerns

  • Any complaints or concerns should be communicated to the Principal, Vice Principal, or Coordinators directly.

Parent-Teacher Interaction

  • Attend Parent Teacher Meetings, Parent Management Meetings, and other school functions. This participation helps you stay informed and involved in your child's education.

Student Dress and Behavior

Uniform and Punctuality

  • Ensure that your children attend school neatly dressed in the full uniform. Avoid sending them late to school.

School Property

  • Any damage caused to school property by your child must be repaired or compensated by the parents.

Pickup and Drop-off

End-of-Day Pickup

  • Parents or guardians must pick up their children promptly after school ends for the day.

Midday Pickup

  • Students can only be taken out of the school by parents or guardians at 12:10 p.m. or 4:00 p.m., not at any other time unless there is an emergency or prior arrangement.

Financial Responsibilities

Fee Payment

  • Parents are requested to pay school fees promptly on the scheduled dates to avoid any inconvenience.
